About RCDC
The Rally Car Design Challenge is a one of its kind design challenge for all budding engineers in the country. What makes this challenge valuable, it is the first where students can directly participate with motorsport professionals.
The motive of the RCDC
The aim of the RCDC is to provide training to the students such that they can collaborate in teams, work as an automotive company, create a product and sell in the market. It is a wholesome process of technicalities and business planning.
Objective
- To design a buggy that can seat two people. It must have good ergonomics, aesthetics, and durability against all terrains.
RCDC Village
The RCDC Village is the venue where the participants test their vehicles in the mud terrain. Reaching the RCDC Village is an experience of its own! Located at outskirts of Coimbatore and it takes a hours to reach the track from city centre
this rcdc village is made by like a festival for 4 days like Techfest, food fest,racing fest etc..
Mud racing is an exhilarating motorsport where powerful off-road vehicles navigate treacherous terrain, slinging mud and conquering challenging obstacles. It’s a thrilling blend of skill, speed, and sheer determination!
The RCDC village is made for “Off-Road Mayhem: Mud, Guts, and Glory!” and its 24/7 nonstop day and night fun guaranteed
What's in it for Engineering Students?

Raguram Saminathan is the Team Principal of Kari Sports and has been a pivotal figure in the automobile industry since 2014. With a background in Electronics and Communication Engineering and a postgraduate qualification in AI and Machine Learning, Raghuram combines technical expertise with practical racing experience. Under his leadership since 2019, Kari Sports has achieved numerous national championships. A national champion in J 4W in 2021, he is also an FMSCI Technical Delegate and Chief Scrutineer. Raghuram is dedicated to nurturing future talent through his school for national-level competition preparation and is pioneering an AI-driven driver development program for autonomous cars.
